Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Pavilion

The Cleveland Clinic is the nation’s number one heart care facility and has been since 1995. In order to stay on top and advance the fields of cardiology and cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery, Cleveland Clinic added 128 exam rooms, 79 procedure rooms, 278 private patient rooms, four ICUs, 16 operating rooms, and 155 physician offices in the new addition—the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Pavilion.

In addition to the new space, the facility houses some of the most advanced medical equipment available including some of the nation’s first K2 robotic c-arm imaging systems.

Balfour Resource Group provided comprehensive transition and activation planning services as well as equipment planning for the facility’s endovascular operating rooms, transfusion medicine/blood bank, and for patient floors seven through ten. Partnered with Cleveland Clinic throughout the entire journey, BRG assisted with the many tasks needed to make such a large project a reality from procuring equipment to implementation plans for the installation of system equipment.

The proven experience of our transition team was showcased as work was performed around the clock for months to ensure that every aspect of moving the patient and staff population as well as their existing furnishings from the existing locations to the new facility occurred in an organized and efficient fashion. Once completed and operational, the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Pavilion became the largest single-use medical facility in the country at more than one million square feet.
