Balfour Resource Group awarded transition planning and relocation services contract
Nashville, Tenn. – January 6, 2012 –Balfour Resource Group, a leading equipment, transition and technology planning firm for healthcare, is pleased to announce that the firm will lead the transition planning and relocation services for the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center’s new children’s hospital.
“Our team is focused on providing Penn State with a plan for transitioning and moving into their new facility that is organized, efficient, and above all safe for patients, staff and families,” stated Edward Hernandez, BRG’s senior vice president. “We have provided like services to other children’s facilities including the Women and Infants Hospital in Rhode Island and currently at the Children’s Memorial Hospital move to the new Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. We look forward to bringing our experience Penn State University and to the Hershey community.”
As part of the project, the BRG team will prepare a transition plan, relocation process and schedule that address all the steps necessary, allowing the new building to fully operate once open.
The 263,000-saure-foot, six-story facility is scheduled to open in late 2012 and is located adjacent to the medical center’s main campus.
